Woodlands from the Water

Join the St. Croix River Association and fellow woodland owners as we explore the woodlands of the watershed from the water on the wild and scenic Namekagon River, Wisconsin’s moving National Park.
Connect with local forestry professionals to learn more about native forest types, woodland wildlife, area forest health issues, and forest management strategies to help improve your own woods.
Trip Rating: 3 (This is a longer paddle, but a fairly gentle stretch of river. Some paddling experience is helpful).
Paddle Distance: 9.9 miles (County K Landing to Whispering Pines Landing)
- This paddle is appropriate for ages 12 and above; all participants between 12 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
- If this event is canceled due to inclement weather, we will post a notification on SCRA’s Facebook page and we will do our best to contact all registered participants.
- We require all participants to wear PFD’s.
Costs: $45 for equipment rental and shuttle and $25 for BYO Boat and Shuttle

Driving directions: From Danbury, head east on Hwy 77. Cross the Namekagon River and go one additional mile. Turn right (south) on Cty Rd F. Follow it ¾ of a mile south, and turn right on Christenson Rd and then another right on shortly after on Whispering Pines Landing Rd.
