(SOLD OUT) Tracks and Scat ID Hike

January 23 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

FREE

**This event is now sold out. Please consider joining us for another upcoming SCRA event!**

Have you ever asked yourself, “Hmm, what animal does that poop or print belong to?” If you have, this wintery adventure will help you answer that same question in the future!

Spend a few hours outside at the Crex Meadows Wildlife Area looking at the ground or all around while learning about tracks and scat from animals that reside in the northern Midwest. Deer, foxes, birds, and many other animal species leave behind only a few pieces of information that allow us to make a decision on what it could be. Grab a field guide for birds, trees, animals, or whatever else you’d like to identify and let’s become nature detectives together!

SCRA Naturalist Jeremiah Walters will be your guide for this informative and fun event. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

For the protection of all participants, facemasks are required. Please bring your own facemask. If you are feeling sick or experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, we ask that you stay home and refrain from participating.

We are monitoring Wisconsin and Minnesota’s current COVID-19 guidelines for public outdoor events and venues. We will communicate any changes to this event here on our website, social media, and via email to those who have already registered. Please stay tuned, and thank you for your understanding.
