I.D. That Tree Hike
December 5, 2020FREE
Enjoy the last month of 2020 with a wintery and informational 3.5 mile-long hike in the beautiful northwoods of Wisconsin on the Trego Nature Trail. Gaze at majestic white pines and bask in the serenity of the Namekagon River, a truly wild and scenic river. Brush up on your tree ID skills—especially while they have no leaves—and learn how the My St. Croix Woods program can help woodland owners become better stewards of their lands. After the hike, look forward to warming up with hot cocoa.
SCRA Naturalist Jeremiah Walters and Forestry Program Coordinator Nikki Henger will be your guides for this informative and fun event! This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. To allow for social distancing, this event will consist of two hikes—the first from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
For the protection of all participants, facemasks are required. Please bring your own facemask. If you are feeling sick or experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, we ask that you stay home and refrain from participating.
We are monitoring Wisconsin and Minnesota’s current COVID-19 guidelines for public outdoor events and venues. We will communicate any changes to this event here on our website, social media, and via email to those who have already registered. Please stay tuned, and thank you for your understanding.
