Join the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and the St. Croix River Association for an Earth Day Weekend stewardship project.
Project Location: Lions Park, St. Croix Falls, WI
Meeting Location: Meet at 8am at Lions Park. The Park Entrance is on the west side of State Hwy 87 on the north end of St. Croix Falls, just past the intersection of N Hamilton and Hwy 87.
Project Tasks: Buckthorn and bush honeysuckle cutting, and hand-pull garlic mustard, from the area on the north end of Lion’s Park extending north along the Indianhead segment of the Ice Age Trail.
Age Restriction: Ages 10 & up due to potential hazards and nature of the work. All youth participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
Please bring: Water, snacks, sunscreen, and if you have them; work gloves, loppers, etc
Please wear: Appropriate work clothes including long sleeve shirt, long pants, hat, work boots or closed toed shoes (preferably waterproof)
Lunch will be provided for volunteers at Lions Park from noon – 1pm.
