**This event has now sold out. Thank you for your interest!**
Join Franconia Sculpture Park’s Executive Director & Chief Curator on Saturday, February 6, 2021 for a guided snowshoe tour of the sculpture park, followed by hot chocolate and apple cider by the fire pit at Franconia Commons. Participants will get a snowshoeing how-to and history lesson from SCRA staff members Nicole Biagi (Outdoor Educator) and Jeremiah Walters (Naturalist) before heading out on a wintery tour of Franconia, where you’ll traverse their snow-covered prairie and view contemporary sculptures in the landscape.
Registration is $10 per person, payable online through the Franconia Sculpture Park website. We will have pairs of plastic snowshoes (sizes vary) available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each tour is limited to 25 people so please sign up early. We also ask that participants wear masks and maintain social distancing.
When: Saturday, February 6 from 1:00-2:30 PM
Where: Franconia Sculpture Park
29836 St. Croix Trail
Shafer, MN 55074
Please note: If there are less than five inches of snow on the ground, we will not be able to use the snowshoes and will enjoy a hike by boot instead. Make sure to dress for the weather!
