Sign up now to paddle the Namekagon river exploring one of the nation’s first Wild and Scenic river national parks!
The St. Croix River Association (SCRA) is hosting 2018 Paddle Namekagon on June 9-15. This 6-day, 92-mile river camping trip from Cable to Danbury, WI offers incredible scenery and SCRA makes it easy for those that want to experience a multi-day river adventure with some conveniences. Plan to celebrate this momentous occasion on the Namekagon river!
Expect to be challenged, inspired, and to build lasting relationships with a new community of river friends. You will have fun! Participants bring their own boat, paddles, PFD, tent, and other camping gear, and should have some paddling experience.
The cost is $400 per person and registration is open now! https://scrapaddle.org/
The event is one of many in 2018 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, which became a national park with the passage of the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act in 1968. Thanks to federal protections, the Riverway — which includes the St. Croix and Namekagon Rivers — still offers clean water, breathtaking beauty, and abundant recreation.
