The heart of the watershed, and a reflection of all that happens here, is the St. Croix River - a nationally designated Wild and Scenic Riverway. The St. Croix River, above St. Croix Falls/Taylors Falls, along with its tributary, the Namekagon, was included in the system in 1968. The Lower St. Croix River, the remainder of the river down to the confluence with the Mississippi River, was added in 1972.

Watch for more information, soon, about this nationally-significant river and its watershed, including a slide show of images, coming soon!

If you would like to provide digital images of the river, the communities along it and images of people, places, natural, scenic and cultural resources of the watershed, please send them as an email attachment to info@stcroixriverassociation.org.

Please, only two or three images per email. We will post images sent to us from time to time as part of an ever-changing slide show during all four seasons of the year. If you would like your slides to be credited to the photographer, please let us know.
